You have got to try these Burger Bowls with Special Sauce. They’re like taking a loaded burger, chopping it up, and adding it all to one delicious bowl. #ad

I can’t get over how good these bowls are. I’ve seen them floating around social media, but never made one for myself until now.

And wow. Burgers are delicious. But there’s something so amazing about mixing everything together in a bowl – fries included! – with a flavorful sauce. I could eat these bowls today.

A few key ingredients help these bowls come together:

Fries – I used Alexia® Organic Oven Crinkles. I’m sure you know by now that I’m the ultimate Alexia fan. I literally always have some variation of theirs in my freezer. The Oven Crinkles are such a fun shape and come out deliciously hearty and crispy.

Lettuce – I like to use a crisp, fresh lettuce, like romaine, crispy green leaf, or butter lettuce. The crisper, the better here.

Tomatoes – Grape or cherry tomatoes give the perfect burst of juiciness.

Pickles – What is it about bread & butter pickle chips that’s so good?! They’re sweet, they’re salty, and they’re ideal in this recipe.

Red onion – A little goes a long way and adds a ton of flavor.

Cheddar cheese – Freshly grated cheddar is a must here! I’m not usually one to avoid convenience items like pre-shredded cheese, but the taste of fresh cheese is unmatched.

Ground beef – Cook this with a little paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder for added flavor. You can also use a plant-based alternative if you prefer, like crumbled tempeh or seitan.

Lastly, we need to talk about the homemade special sauce. It’s legit drinkable – it’s so delicious! The sauce is the perfect mix of sweet and savory and pairs so well with this bowl.

Make it for lunch or make it for dinner. Honestly, make it for breakfast if you want! A delicious, nutritious, and satisfying meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes is one that we all need in our rolodex.

Bake the fries

Preheat the oven to 425 F.

Add the Alexia® Organic Oven Crinkles to a baking sheet and spread in an even layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

Cook the ground beef

While the fries are in the oven, cook the ground beef.

Add olive to a large pan over medium high heat. Add the beef, using a wooden spoon to break it up.

Add the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt, and cook, stirring occasionally, until cooked through for about 5-8 minutes. Set aside.

Prepare the sauce

Prepare the special sauce.

Add all ingredients to a bowl or jar and mix well until smooth.

Set aside.

Assemble the bowls

Assemble the bowls.

Add the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cheddar cheese and pickles.

Add cooked ground beef and Alexia® Organic Oven Crinkles.

Drizzle with the special sauce and toss. Serve.

Everything else you need to know:

  • Substitutions: Feel free to swap or add in any of your favorite burger toppings: bacon, caramelized onion, pepper, etc. This bowl is totally customizable!

  • Vegetarian: To make these bowls vegetarian, swap the ground beef for crumbled tempeh, seitan, or a plant-based burger alternative.

  • Make ahead: Prep these bowls ahead of time by cooking the fries and beef, making the sauce, and chopping the veggies. When you’re ready to eat or serve, throw everything together.

  • Storage: Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. If there’s any separation while stored, whisk well again before serving.
