You deserve a healthy relationship with food.

The simple guide to a healthy relationship with food for you AND your kids

Have you ever gone out to eat and felt like you “should” order a salad, or felt guilty for ordering pasta?

Do you sometimes find that you’re able to be “good” all week, only to blow it and overeat on the weekends?

Have you ever struggled to get dressed, feeling like nothing fits or not liking the way your clothes your look on you?

I can describe each of these situations in thorough details because I’ve been there.

I know what it feels like to be completely stressed over what to order at a restaurant. I’ve spent countless weeks meticulously calorie counting all week, only to totally overeat on the weekends. And I definitely know what it feels like to hate how your clothes look on you. And if you’ve been in any of these situations too, you probably know just as well as I do: they don’t feel great.

Now, as a registered dietitian and as someone with a healthy relationship with food, I can wholeheartedly tell you: food freedom feels so amazing. It means eating what sounds good and knowing what your body’s asking for. It’s not beating yourself up if you ate a little more than usual. It’s going out to eat with friends and enjoying your food without guilt. It’s getting dressed without trying on 100 different outfits and knowing that your body image ebbs and flows.

When you finally have food freedom, you quiet down all that noise in your head that’s constantly thinking and stressed about food. And instead, you fill your time with so many other actually enriching and meaningful things.

I created this course because I want to help you do just that. We have to eat every single day, multiple times per day. Food shouldn’t be stressful. It should be easy and enjoyable.

As a mom of 2 young kids, I also know how badly I don’t want my kids to ever experience what I did with food. I don’t want them constantly going on diets. I definitely don’t want them feeling insecure and badly about themselves. I want them to enjoy food and feel confident in themselves.

Body insecurities and dieting behaviors can start as young as age 6 or 7. The thought of my kids going through that breaks my heart. I don’t want that for them. And I know that you don’t want that for your kids either. It’s never too young to start to instill healthy habits around food. This is the course to make sure that your children create a healthy and positive relationship around food.

Why did I create this course?

Can I be totally honest with you?

There are too many courses out there. It seems like everyone and their mother is selling some kind of course. And I’m not a salesperson. I don’t want you to waste your time and money on some BS that you don’t really need or that won’t actually help you.

As a registered dietitian, certified intuitive eating counselor, and mom, I’ve seen the way that my clients, friends, and family all talk and think about food. I see the countless DMs on Instagram from people who struggle with the way that they eat. An unhealthy, stressful relationship with food is all too common.

And, as someone who’s been there, I know how important and valuable it is to learn the tools to find food freedom. That’s why I created this course. I truly want to help you create a healthy relationship with food.

Because food freedom shouldn’t be something elusive or impossible to attain.  Everyone – especially you – deserves it.

“This course gave me so many helpful tips on how to model a healthy relationship with food for my kids and I can honestly say that as much as my 3 year old loves chocolate (because who doesn’t?!), with Sammi’s guidance, he doesn’t see it as a special treat. Some of his favorite foods are even vegetables! I feel so confident now that my kids will grow up feeling in control of their food decisions.”

FAQ

+ How long does the course take to watch?

Altogether, the videos take about 1-2 hours to go through. But watch at your own speed! You don’t have to watch them all at once. Watch a few videos before bed, on the subway, or just listen while driving to work.

+ How long do I have access to the course?

Once you’ve purchased the course, you have lifetime access to the materials. You don’t have to get started right away or worry about watching ASAP once you’ve bought the course.

+ Is the course closed-captioned?

Yes! Every video has closed captioning for those hard of hearing or who to prefer to watch without sound.

+ I want a healthy relationship with food, but I still want to lose weight. Is this course for me?

Yes. While this is not a weight loss course, I understand the desire to want to lose weight. This course will not invalidate those feelings. Instead, it will give you tools to respect your body and feel confident in your current body as you create a healthier relationship with food.

+ I don’t have kids, is it worth getting the course?

Yes! Modules 1-4 are dedicated to creating a healthy relationship with food for yourself. If you don’t have kids, but would like to someday, I highly recommend watching modules 5 and 6 about kids too. It’s never too early to start fostering food freedom for kids. And you have lifetime access – so you can refer back to modules 5 and 6 at any point in the future too.

+ My doctor told me I need to diet for medical reasons, will this course work for me?

While I can’t generalize every single medical condition, I can tell you this: there is no situation where it doesn’t benefit you to have a healthy relationship with food. In fact, a healthy relationship with food is a huge part of overall health, and stress reduction often lessens symptoms in many diseases.

If you’re unsure, please email me at hello@sammibrondo.com and I’d be happy to walk through your specific situation with you.

+ I’m recovering from an eating disorder, will I benefit from the course?

If you have an active eating disorder, please seek individualized help from a registered dietitian and/or licensed therapist. This course is not a substitute for eating disorder treatment.

If you’ve had a past eating disorder and are currently in recovery – or if you’re already working with a professional individually – this course is a great complement to any tools you’ve already learned, especially if you’re looking to prevent similar patterns with your children.

Please email hello@sammibrondo.com with any specific questions – we are happy to help.

+ Is there a written version of the course?

The course is available via streaming only, but you can turn on closed captioning (and even turn the volume off!) to read along as you watch.

+ I’m interested in learning more for my kids, what age group is this geared towards?

While a lot of the course covers specific scenarios for toddlers ages 1-5, it’s relevant for elementary school children too, up to age 12. It’s also great for babies under the age of 1, as you’ll use the tips from early solids on.

“I’ve counted calories for as long as I can remember. I was nervous that I forgot how to eat without calculating them. After your course, I finally stopped paying attention to the numbers and am actually enjoying the food I eat. It’s life changing.”
