Parmesan Crusted Salmon

With a perfectly cheesy, golden parmesan crust, this recipe is going to be your new favorite way to eat salmon.

if, like me, you’re always on the lookout for new ways to make salmon, you have to try this parmesan crusted salmon.

Anyone feel wary of cooking fish?

I used to feel that way. It seems intimidating!

But, I promise, it’s not. And salmon is probably one of the easiest and most versatile types of fish to make.

While I love it simply seared, I’m also always looking for new ways to prepare it.

This Parmesan Crusted Salmon is so delicious. The salmon is coated in a mixture of breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley. The result is a golden, buttery and cheesy topped salmon that’s perfectly tender on the inside.

I originally made this dish in partnership with the Global Seafood Alliance and Secret Island Salmon for National Seafood Month.

The salmon is BAP (or Best Aquaculture Practices) certified, meaning that it’s ethically and responsibly produced.

I know shopping for seafood can also seem totally overwhelming - there are so many types! An easy way to find seafood that’s BAP-certified is to look for the BAP label.

Try pairing this salmon with wild rice and 10 Minute Garlicky Broccoli. Or have it with a big salad like this Greek Salad with Crispy Quinoa. Dream meal!

Mix the crust and top the salmon

Preheat oven to 400 F. Grease a baking sheet or line with tin foil.

In a large bowl, mix together 1/2 cup olive oil, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. The mixture should be thick and cohesive.

Add the mixture to the top of each salmon fillet, using your hands to spread it out evenly and press it down firmly. Drizzle on top with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Bake for 10-12 min

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, until cooked through and an internal temperature of 145 F is reached.
