The Crazy Thing I Learned About My Teeth

Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared a lot about my morning and nighttime routines. One thing that’s been consistent in all of them: brushing my teeth with Pronamel Intensive Enamel Repair toothpaste. In partnership with Pronamel, I’m explaining a little bit more about this toothpaste and how making this one small change by using it has impacted my life.

Quick Dental Health Lesson

I’m not a dentist. Obviously. But, as I’ve become more interested in dental health, I’ve learned that a lesser known dental concept is that many unexpected foods can start to wreak havoc on our teeth. Case in point: I’ll never forget a few months ago, when I was at the dentist and was told I had one of my first cavities ever (okay, this was like my 3rd… but, ever!). I brush my teeth at least twice a day, I floss, and I eat healthfully. Why was this now happening? And so began a conversation with my dentist about oral health in general.

One of the things I learned while I was there is that even some of the healthiest foods – like fruits and vegetables – can break down our tooth enamel over time. I learned that acidic foods like tomatoes, oranges and even berries are the big culprits. And I eat these foods often.

Frequently eating acidic foods can weaken tooth enamel over time. This not only makes teeth appear more yellow by exposing a dull layer called dentin, but also, can even make the teeth appear see-through by eroding enamel. Even more alarming though, is that this can also make the teeth susceptible to more damage (And IMO, getting dental work is one of the top 3 worst experiences ever, so I’d really like to avoid it.)

Benefits of Pronamel Intensive Repair

Cue: Pronamel Intensive Enamel Repair toothpaste. Most toothpastes help to clean the teeth and also contain fluoride to help prevent the effects of acid erosion. Pronamel Repair helps actively repair that acid-weakened enamel. It locks in minerals to absorb them deep in the enamel to strengthen it.

On top of that, not only does it help repair, but Pronamel Repair also helps protects enamel to prevent from future acid erosion. This toothpaste helps protect the teeth from continued exposure to everyday acids. This means the teeth are protected from becoming yellow, appearing see-through and becoming weaker.

How I’m Benefitting from Pronamel

For me, I couldn’t have found out about this toothpaste at a better time. I would really, really like to avoid unnecessary dental work going forward. And also, I mean, who wants yellow teeth if it can be avoided? Personally, I love fresh strawberries. Tomatoes are one of my favorite foods. So, instead of waiting for a dentist appointment to hear about the damage done to my teeth, this toothpaste lets me be proactive in helping to repair them.

With Pronamel, I don’t have to do anything extra to help protect my teeth. That’s the key for me – while it’s important, I also don’t have time to spend creating a whole new routine just for my dental health. Instead, this toothpaste helps protect and repair my enamelwhile I brush. Which means that during those times when I would’ve been brushing my teeth anyway, I’m not only cleaning them, but also protecting and repairing them at the same time.

Let’s be real: no one wants to spend too much time thinking about their teeth and dental health on top of already brushing and flossing daily. The fact that this toothpaste helps clean my teeth and helps actively repair my acid-weakened enamel at the same time means that just a simple toothpaste choice saves you time in the long run. It’s a simple step to dental self-care that leaves more time for other areas of self-care.
